How can one respect such...



Today because sex is such a common and casual thing, girls who just sleep with whoever has the fattest wallet are seen as a usual and normal  and the things they do are seen as common.With such behaviour, how can we expect men to respect us and stop calling us things like 'slut', "bitch',hoe' etc.It is really impossible if we do not respect ourselves as women. I was sitting the other day with a friend of mine and came across a picture on Facebook that was really causing a stir .In this picture were two naked girls laying on a bed saying how much they were sexed. It is evident that they had been used for sex and left there wearing almost nothing.

We live in a hip and happening society which is driven by money, alcohol, fast cars and sex. In the modern societies we exist in , we no longer regard our traditions as a guide to how we have to conduct and handle ourselves not only in public but also at home.

It is really upsetting to see such things being posted onto social networking sites, but what i believe is most upsetting is how some women just sleep with random people without having a care about how it will reflect onto them and how they are degrading all women. The only way we can be respected is if we start by respecting ourselves.

Sex in traditional and modern lifestyles...



Traditionally, sex is concidered as a sacred thing between a man and a woman. It is something that traditional people rarely talk about as some feel uncomfortable or even offended by sex talk.However, in the modern world we live in today ,sex is something we are all used to because we are not afraid to talk about it with our friends and to some, even their families.. Traditional and modern ways both have a different view on sex and these are:

 

Traditional

·       Sex  is regarded as lustful and dirty

·       There are sexual restrictions (man should always be in charge)

·       Things such as homosexual sex interactions are forbidden

Modern life

·       Sex is common and casual

·       Both men and women can take charge in bed as there are no sexual restrictions

·       Homosexual sex relations are allowed and practiced because we are now used to gays and lesbians in our societies.

Modern ways in this sence are advantageous because they breakes down the communication boundries that our customs have built over time and allow us to help one another in providing information such as sex tips, sex dos and donts, how to protect yourself from deseases, and how people can satisfy each other sexually by knowing their likes and dislike through communication whereas tradition forbidds such talks and thus limits ones knowledge of sex. what is your take on how sex is portrayd in modern and traditional lifestyles?



Is it really ok for a girl to ask a guy out????

Women VS Men

 Women of today are confident....sexy and go after anything they want. The ancient times whereby tradition forbid a woman from asking a man out are long gone. This....is the 21st century and women of today do not wait for men to take charge, they go out there and make it happen!!.

However,with that being said, can we really say it is okay for a woman to ask a man out? i personally think it is just wrong. Men should be the ones who run after us, not the other way round because in most cases women who ask men out are regarded as cheap and desperate. Question to the ladies:do you honestly want to be perceived in that manner? i don't think any woman would.

Men like to feel in charge... it gives them a sense of edge and makes them feel like the alpha males of our societies and by taking some of their roles we make them in a way feel inferior and useless. No women wants a man who is not confident r sure of himself....how do we expect for them to be what we want them to be when we treat them as if they are unable to fulfil their responsibilities?

YES WE ARE BEAUTIFUL.....WE ARE SEXY....CONFIDENT AND INDEPENDENT....BUT LETS ALLOW THE MEN TO PLAY THEIR PART.

In the societies we live in today, many things are not done the way they used to be done back in the days where technology was not present. For instance, today when a guy wants to ask a girl out he simply just asks for her facebook name, BBM pin, twitter account name or mxit details and asks her out on social networking sites, making it faster and easier for him to get an answer. For me as a girl I honestly think this has made the initiation stage of a relationship between a man and a woman rather boring….the excitement is no longer there and in a way makes us as girls of today seem cheap compared to girls back in the days because they made a guy sweat for days or even weeks before giving him his answer of whether she wants to date him or not.So in the swift moving world, the life style has changed a lot. As a coin has two sides, the modern life style has both a brighter (advantageous) and darker (disadvantageous) side to it.Here are some of the advantages and disadvantages of modern lifestyle. 

Advantages:

• Technology makes it easier for people around the world to communicate
• Education has developed with the use of Internet
• People meet and interact with different cultures and societies

Disadvantages:

·       Due to modern life style, culture and tradition is fading off

·       Technology has reduced the interaction between people

·       Environmental damages such as air pollution, water pollution and noise pollution.

To put all of this in a nut shell, modern ways have both a positive and negative side and in my point of view, I think modern life style is brighter but we have to think about how to use it properly without causing any damage to our lives and customs and in this blog I will be illustrating some of the challenges we encounter in modern life and how we can over come these challenges without turning our backs on tradition.
